I went into reading this book very skeptical, I figured it would be the same things only a different book with a different title.

Boy was I wrong! Author Sue Ziang nailed this. This book has most definitely changed the way I look at myself, my behaviors and habits and health as a whole!

I found this book empowering and enlightening. Young Body, Young Mind gives you more to think about, more to evaluate and some great advice to help get you in both a better mindset and body set.

Quite often we think of health only when it comes to losing weight, in reading this book I have really started to realize that it isn't just weight but a whole plethora of aspects that affect daily life. I can't wait to put all this very practical knowledge to the test!

In the days when I was in the thick of thin, I thought life was over for me, and that I was too old to change direction to live the life I somehow sensed I should be living. Back then, I got up in the morning feeling tired, wishing to sink right back to sleep again, never mind the day and what lay ahead demanding my attention and effort. During the day, I felt I was dragging a beat-up worn-out stressed-out body coping with life’s never ending demands. When I got back home at night, all I wanted to do was to sink into the comfort of sofa watching TV to distract me from the horrible hopeless feeling that wouldn’t go away. To complete the sorry tale, I was overweight, dietetic, severally depressed, suffering from poor sleep and poor digestion. I avoided looking at that worry-written and fatigued old looking face in the mirror during my morning and evening bathroom chores. I silently cried for the “injustice” of life, felt sorry for myself, and wondered what life was all about, and where should I go from there.

We don’t know what we don’t know. All along, the answer to my challenges was right within me, yet I was searching outside of myself, wishing someone would magically dig me out of the seemingly bottomless hole I found myself in.

These days, my whole being is filled with vibrant energy and profound peace, and my heart is full with gratitude. I wake up each morning looking forward to the day to live my purpose and calling of spreading my rippling impact in a world bombarded with stress-induced epidemic, on top of fulfilling my responsibilities as a mother, home owner and a solo- entrepreneur. Every time when the “FEELING GOOD in my own body” sensation hits me, I am more committed to inspire and help more people experiencing this heightened joy I have been experiencing.

Does that mean there are no challenges any longer? No, it does not mean that. On the contrary, surface reality might appear more challenging, reflecting the accelerated pace of healing once we gain awareness. However, the book is not for you if you are looking for a quick cosmetic fix. I really have bad news for you if that is what you are looking for.
